Now this should be an easy one. A song that makes me happy. More than one immediately springs to mind. So I’ll keep this one short today.

OK.. maybe that was a bit too short. The song that makes me feel happy is of course, ‘She moves in her own way’ by The Kooks. This song is upbeat, catchy (but not too ‘poppy’) and just plain happy. The Kooks broke on to the music scene with this song back in 2006 (Well this isn’t entirely accurate. The Kooks released their first successful single in 2005, but never really caught my interest till the following year) This song reminds me of times when I was back at school and full of mad notions. (That makes me sound like an old man, at the ripe old age of 19). So I think I’ll end this post now before the nostalgia starts flowing out of me.

  1. Great song! Supermassive Black Hole – Muse, Moves Like Jagger – Maroon 5, The Devil Went Down to Georgia – Charlie Daniels Band…these songs make me happy but as I LOVE music so much there are so many songs that would make this list 🙂

    1. I love Muse, they are a great band. Must try fit them into this 30 day challenge somehow 🙂 Not the biggest maroon 5 fan to be honest and I’ve never heard of the Charlie Daniels Band, so must look them up.

  2. Oh, nice! A song that makes me happy? Jeez, that’s a tough call. I’d say that, more often than not, Mary Ellen Carter by Stan Rogers does it for me.
