I just wanted to put up a quick post and let you know what has been happening here. As you may have already noticed, there are a few shiny new badges on the right-hand-side of the blog. One will be somewhat familiar to long time readers but the other is new for us all (myself included).

Blog Awards Ireland

For the past four years (2015 included) my blog has featured in the Blog Awards Ireland. Apart from the one anomaly back in 2013 when I somehow reached the finals, this little blog has made it onto the shortlist without fail. This year however brings new rules and for the first time ever the finalist will be decided by means of a public vote. Now I don’t like to bother/spam people with this sort of social voting. But if you like what you read here I would really appreciate your vote. I’ve included the voting button over on the right panel and you can also follow this link.

For the first time ever I’m up for the entertainment category and could do with all the help I can get to reach the finals.

Web Awards

The Web Awards are somewhat uncharted territory for this blog and I am delighted to announce that I have made the semi-finals of the Best Music Website category. I don’t need to pester you for votes for this so I just want to take the opportunity to say thanks for all the support over the years. Without you, the readers, I’d just be a crazy person talking to myself.

I’ll keep you posted on both and in the meantime here’s some unrelated music.
